If you (or someone you know) is in need of a place to stay in the Woodlawn area or if you are looking for a quiet retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Clarksville, I highly recommend the Lylewood Inn. The owner, Mandy lives on the property and is extremely friendly and knowledgeable (and yes, I speak from experience). There are a few rooms in the main house (be aware, the rooms in the main house do not have TV’s) and a cottage that can be reserved. The Inn just announced that their General Mercantile store will be opened for business starting April 14, 2017!
The inn’s main house was built in the 1800’s and has a rich history that Mandy will gladly tell you about and the rooms are all decorated to coincided with the history. The Lylewood sits high above the Cumberland River, in a tranquil and quiet setting. It is easy to leave your worries behind and get immersed in history. The Inn also hosts different events open to the public, throughout the year, so keep an eye out.
