Clarksville’s School Year Is Over! Camp Time!

School is out for the summer.  For children, the summer is full of wonder, possibility and no homework.  For parents, it can be a bit more stressful.  What to do those long days of summer?  Here are a few options to help your children pass their summer days in a fun and safe way! For additional information click on the appropriate camp.


  • APSU Junior Govs Summer Camp located at Foy Fitness and Recreation Center. Cost ranges from $100-$115 a week.
  • Travis Janssen Baseball Camp located at Raymond C. Hand Park. Cost ranges from $130-$200 per week for ages 6-12.
  • Govs Outdoor Teen Camp located at APSU University Recreation Center. Cost range is $215-$230 per week, per child and included snack, t-shirt and trips.  For ages 12-15.
  • Kelley Guth Soccer Camp located at Lifepoint Soccer Field. Cost range is $100-$155.  For ages 3-18.
  • Camp Granada located at Madison St. United Methodist & Glenellen Elementary School. Cost range is: $75-$90. Summer camp for young musicians.
  • Summer Playhouse located at Roxy Regional Theater. Cost is $40 per student. Teaches acting, improv and state movement.  Ages 8-18.
  • Summer Education Learning Fundamentals Summer Day Camp (S.E.L.F) located at Living World International Ministries (959 Tiny Town Rd). Academics with meals, snacks and field trips included. Price is $100 per week with a $35  registration fee. Grades k-5th.
  • Matt Figger Basketball Camps. Does not state location. Cost is $150 per athlete per 3 day session.  Also has a father/son camp.
  • Legend Acres Horseback Riding Camp located at Legend Acres.  Cost starts at $275 per week.  Camps are broken down by age and skill level.
  • Jr. Junior Ranger Camp located at Dunbar Cave and for ages 5-7. Cost is $40 for 3 days.
  • Junior Ranger Camp located at Dunbar Cave for ages 8-12. Cost is $85 for 5 days.
  • Summer Tennis Camp located at Swan Lake Sports Complex. Cost is $50 and for children ages 6-15.
  • Summer Youth Program ran by Parks and Recreation, located at different sites depending on ages. Cost is free, but spaces are filling up quickly.
  • Summer Archery Camp located at Billy Dunlop Park. Cost is $20. Ages 10-15.
  • Civil War Day Camp located at Fort Defiance. Cost is: $75. Ages 10-13.
  • Summer Camp located at Total Obstacle Course Racing. Cost is: $100 plus tax per week.  Ages 5-12.
  • 2018 Girls’ Leadership Summer Camp located at Austin Peay College of Business.  Cost is $150 per camper (included all food and activities). For girls entering grades 6-8.
  • Camp Encore hosted by CPS School of Fine Arts.  Will incorporate acting games. Ages 5 and up (price not disclosed)
  • Seal Team Scuba Camp. Located at Bel-aire Pool. Cost is$299 per session for children 8-12.
  • Live and Learn Day Camp for Girls. Located at Lylewood Inn, Indian Mound TN. Cost is $195 per week for girls ages 8-13.
  • REACH Cumberland Camp. Located in Woodlawn TN. Fees starting at $125 per week. For ages 7-18.
  • Camp Rainbow. A camp for children with medical conditions that normally would not be accepted into a sleep away camp.  To learn if your child qualifies please contact the camp.
