What’s Up Clarksville Presents *SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY*

Introducing our newest blog segment, SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY.  There are so many things to do in and around the Clarksville area, that we wanted to be able to share some of those things with our followers!  So if there is some place that you go and totally love, let us know, and we will check it out!

This week, I am spotlighting Tie Breaker Family Aquatic Center, in Hopkinsville KY.  It is about a 30 min drive from Clarksville, and 40 minute drive from Woodlawn.  Keep in mind, parents can play too, which I didn’t realize.  So you adults out there will definitely want to bring your swimsuits along too.  We got there around 11 am, it opens at 10.  By noon it was packed.  So if you are interested in less crowds, I will say, earlier the better, and possibly later in the day.  The shady spots were all taken when we got there.  My oldest son was able to go on everything, which included the slides.  He enjoyed it for about an hour but then got bored.  For my younger son, he was too small for the slides but there was a fun watery play area, which he really enjoyed.  He definitely was more engaged because of that.  There is a lazy “river” where young and old can just float around.  The boys lost interest in that fast!  But all in all, for the price it cost, we enjoyed it, I couldn’t imagine spending all day there, but that’s just me.  They do offer food and drinks to buy, which we didn’t get.  They have lockers in the rest room (at least in the womens and I’ll assume the mens).   For 50 cents, you can lock your stuff up.  I tried it, and my locker didn’t work, so I lost my 50 cents and still had to carry my bag around.  I probably could have bothered them for a refund, but I didn’t want to bother.
